Carence Bennett, 43, of Gahanna, has been operating for five years. He is performed the Columbus ½ Convention three times, and the Race twice. As a whole he's done 13 half marathons and four marathons.

"I was prepping for the Brooklyn Half, Columbus Half, Maritime Corps and New York before the pandemic. I'm however operating five to six times per week and I have incorporated lots of cycling as well.

I'm a very disciplined and goal oriented runner. I am really booming during this pandemic because it's giving me a chance to experiment with some various challenges. I did a 30-day challenge wherever I went at least a 5K every day and it proved to become a 120-mile month. My next problem is seven days straight of eight miles each day.

These kind of difficulties are keeping me motivated and demanding me at exactly the same time. I have already began to set targets for 2021 so I won't be ending any time soon!"

Ta Trecia Davis, 47, of Pickerington, is co-ambassador of Black Women Run! Columbus Chapter.  She's been working for five decades and has been doing four marathons and sixteen 1/2 marathons, including Columbus twice.

"Just before the pandemic attack, I was foundation instruction for my major race of the year (TCS) New York Town Marathon. The shutdown and the pandemic was included with plenty of strain and anxieties. COVID-19 took the life of my young uncle and my good friend's parents all within a few days apart. It absolutely was destructive and psychologically difficult, understanding I couldn't be there for my enjoy ones. Therefore for weeks, I applied reasons for maybe not running.  My instructor prompted me to return to operating to help manage pressure and keep carefully the defense mechanisms in check.

Being truly a motivator, encourager, and person who looks to encourage others, I obtained back once again to performing what I like to do. It began with 100 miles for per month that easily changed into doing a work streak. My 2020 targets have transformed, it's about success while empowering the dark neighborhood to become healthier. We realize that virus is having an important impact within my community. Running isn't canceled, or is our capacity to improve the operating community.
